Job Description Summary

The work includes validation of Embedded Software, Tools, Libraries, Drivers and other embedded packages.

Important Responsibilities

  • Define validation strategies for GE Power Conversion drives control platform testing.
  • Development of test application and automated test scripts using generic scripting tools to perform testing.
  • Create test scenarios for hardware modules that support different communication protocols namely EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, Canbus, etc.
  • Prepare test plans, test cases, bug reports and other documents to meet quality standards.
  • Perform multiple test changes and test new features.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Team Leads, and Developers to technically understand product features and new implementations.
  • Interact with multiple stake holders located in other parts of the world.
  • Take customer issues on priority and provide timely resolution for issues to get better customer satisfaction index.
  • Development of front end application using Microsoft technologies (Visual Basic, C#, .Net) for conducting automatic validation.
  • Create automated test scripts using Python.
  • Support embedded software testing for different domains like O&G, Power Systems, Metal and Marine.
  • Perform design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adherence to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
  • Document technical data generated on assigned project in accordance with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely communication on key issues or developments. Participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.

Summary of Role/Purpose

  • Define and develop test strategies and perform multiple tests to test each hardware and software component of the GE PC drive control platform and ensure that the products are bug free during delivery.
  • This role requires, in addition to close interaction with internal and external customers, a strong inclusive team player with a focus on results and ready to work with an Agile method of execution.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics from reputed institutions.
  • 4+ years in an industrial validation environment.
  • Good understanding of C, C++, C#, Python.
  • Good knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, Canbus, etc.
  • Good knowledge of scripting tools.
  • Excellent debugging skills.
  • Basic understanding about Cyber ​​Security.
